Nestled inside the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Fanny’s is a contemporary restaurant that nods to the enduring charm of Hollywood’s classical era.
Fanny Brice began her show business career in her teens, and was known for her special brand of humor, charisma, and tireless work. Defying all expectations, Fanny became one of her era’s most prolific entertainers—defining herself, for herself—and paved a path for countless others. Taking a cue from her panache, the restaurant offers a vibrant gathering space in which to escape in sipping and savoring over great conversation, day or night.
Designed by LA-based Commune Design, Fanny’s blends contemporary style with old Hollywood inspiration, as embodied by iconic restaurants like the Brown Derby and Perino’s, as well as studio backlots and the 1939 Streamline Moderne architecture of the museum’s Saban Building. A specially-commissioned wraparound mural by Los Angeles artist and illustrator Konstantin Kakanias celebrates film and music legends from classical Hollywood to present day.
